Lowcountry Team, SC

Church Relations Team:

Volunteers serving on these interdenominational Church Relations Teams work together to spread the news about Operation Christmas Child and to mobilize churches to participate in this hands-on missions project.

Lowcountry team SC would count it all joy to give a presentation to your church or school about the importance of Operation Christmas Child. No church is to big or too small. We are serious about generating shoeboxes to change the lives of the poorest children on the world for eternity.

Please contact Emily at 843-384-6908 or e-mail Barry Malphrus (Area Coordinator) to schedule your presentation.

Community Relations Team:

People volunteer with Community Relations Teams throughout the year to build relationships with non-church groups such as schools, businesses, civic organizations, and scout troops with the goal of increasing the number of gifts sent around the world.

Prayer Team:

Prayer Teams are made up of dedicated volunteers who have a heart for Jesus Christ and who believe in the power of prayer. They are committed to pray regularly for the various aspects of the project, including volunteers, donors, destination countries, the children who receive shoe box gifts, as well as the logistics of collection and transportation.

Media Relations Team:

Volunteers with Media Relations Teams are responsible for the year-round promotion of Operation Christmas Child. They are gifted in building relationships with various media outlets, including radio, print, and television, with a goal of raising awareness of the project and ultimately generating more shoe box gifts for the needy children in the world.

Collection/Relay Center Team:

Volunteers at collection sites enjoy using their gifts of organization, planning, and
communication to collect carefully packed shoebox gifts and plan the transportation of
these boxes to processing centers.

"We do this project because I know that it's changing the lives of children around the world for eternity and that is the most important thing for me."

"The reason I do this is because I love it and I believe in prayer. For many reasons I think prayer for specific things is the most important part of the ministry."

"I do this project for several reasons. Most importantly it is to carry the world of Christ all over the world. I also do it to show other countries that Americans are not bad people. We do a lot of good in this world. I know it truly is a motivational experience. Lets get together and get these boxes together. Come out and help you will love it!"
